中文学校派送两名优秀学生参加“汉语桥”夏令营
2014年春季学期，中文学校选拔出两名优秀学生参加为期半个月的由国家汉办/孔子学院总部与美国孔子学院“汉语桥·美国高中生夏令营”的活动。该活动意在给美国在读高中生提供一次中国文化的切身体验机会，加深美国青少年对中国文化的了解。同时提高学生的汉语言水平，促进中美青少年之间的友谊。
活动期间，学生将和中国高中生一起学习并住在学生家中一起生活。此外，参加学生还会专修一些传统中国文化课程，如茶艺、武术、水墨画等。课程结束后，主办方将带领学生们游览中国历史悠久的人文景点和秀美的自然风光。参加学生自行支付往返机票，在中国期间的食宿费，学费由主办方承担。
三镇中文学校春季学期申请到两个名额参加“汉语桥”夏令营活动。凡是在校长期学习的高中生均可报名。通过考核后，中文学校选拔出九年级学生张亮和姜义恒参加本次中国行夏令营。七月十五日，两名学生已经抵达西雅图与其他队员汇合并飞往北京。
Two Tri-Cities Chinese School students will have a study tour in China
Two students from Tri-Cities Chinese Language School will join “Chinese Bridge· American High School Students Summer Camp”. They will go to China to study in a high school and live with Chinese students’ families during July 15th to August 1st. Some traditional Chinese culture will be introduced such as Tea art, Wushu, Chinese brush painting. At the end of the camp they will have a tour to a few Chinese famous tourist attractions. Confucius Institute is responsible for all the expenses excluding international flight tickets such as meals, transport and accommodation.
Any high school students who study at Tri-cities Chinese school more than one year can be candidates. After examination George Zhang and William Chiang are the participants this year.
